1. Fertilizer dosage
1 – 2 years old stage:
Amount of fertilizer: 3,000 kg/ha, divided into 2 times/year.
Fertilization time: 1st time at the beginning of the rainy season (60% of fertilizer), 2nd time at the end of the rainy season (40% of fertilizer).
3 years old stage and above:
Fertilizer amount: 5,000 kg/ha, divided into 2 times/year.
Fertilization time: 1st time after harvest (60% of fertilizer), 2nd time before flowering (40% of fertilizer).
2. Fertilization method
Before fertilizing:
Cut the grass around the tree to ensure there are no weeds competing for nutrients.
Prune the branches and create a canopy for the tree, helping the tree to be airy and reduce the risk of pests and diseases.
Remove small branches, diseased branches and ineffective branches.
How to fertilize:
Lightly loosen the soil around the tree canopy to create ventilation for the roots and help the fertilizer easily penetrate the soil.
Spread the fertilizer evenly around the tree canopy, about 50 – 70 cm from the base depending on the type of plant.
After fertilizing, water the soil sufficiently if there is no rain, helping the fertilizer dissolve and penetrate into the soil, ensuring that the plant absorbs nutrients effectively.
